Education
Our Mission
Programmes that transform the relationship between children, youth, and animals.
Santuário Jacupemba is a project still in the structuring phase. Vera and Ryan will move to Brazil in November 2026 to bring this educational vision to life. The information below represents our plans and our vision for the programmes we aim to offer.
Education
Our dream is for classes from local schools to visit the sanctuary to learn about animal compassion and sustainability.
Workshops
We are preparing hands-on workshops on animal ethics, the environmental impact of livestock farming, and plant-based alternatives.
Transformation
We hope students will leave transformed, taking home a new way of seeing animals and the world.
Our Vision
We are developing educational programmes in partnership with municipal, state, and private schools throughout the Espirito Santo region.
Each future visit will be carefully planned for the students' age group: playful activities for younger children, ethical debates for teenagers, and practical immersion for everyone.
The goal is not just to teach about animals: it is to cultivate empathy, critical thinking, and a new relationship with the natural world.
Our Educational Journey
Welcome & Reception
Students will arrive, receive guidance about the sanctuary, and be introduced to our educators.
Guided Tour & Observation
A guided tour through the sanctuary spaces with explanations about the animals, their habitats, and the Atlantic Forest ecosystem.
Interactive Workshop
Participatory activities on animal compassion, sustainability, and the impact of our choices.
Reflection & Departure
Closing circle with conversation, questions, and reflections. Each student will take a seed of change home.
Partner Schools
We aim to build partnerships with public and private schools throughout the region, aligning our future programmes with the Brazilian National Curriculum (BNCC).
